🐾 Advanced Ultrasound Imaging for Your Pet's Health

We are pleased to offer diagnostic ultrasound services, a powerful tool that enhances our ability to diagnose and treat various conditions in your pet.

What Is Veterinary Ultrasound?

Veterinary ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of your pet's internal organs and structures. Unlike X-rays, ultrasound does not involve radiation, making it a safe option for pets of all ages, including pregnant animals.

Benefits of Ultrasound in Veterinary Medicine
  • Non-Invasive and Safe: Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that does not require surgery or penetration into the body, reducing stress and discomfort for your pet.
  • Real-Time Imaging: Provides dynamic, real-time images that allow veterinarians to observe the functioning of internal organs as they happen, leading to quicker and more accurate diagnoses.
  • Versatility: Useful for evaluating a variety of internal structures, including the heart, liver, kidneys, bladder, and reproductive organs.
  • Guidance for Procedures: Assists in guiding minimally invasive procedures, such as biopsies or fluid aspirations, enhancing accuracy and safety.
What to Expect During an Ultrasound Exam

During the procedure, a small area of your pet's fur may be shaved to ensure optimal contact between the ultrasound probe and the skin. A special gel is applied to the skin to facilitate the transmission of sound waves. The probe is then gently moved over the area of interest to capture images. Most pets tolerate the procedure well, and sedation is typically not required.

Ultrasound is invaluable in diagnosing and monitoring various conditions, including:
  • Abdominal Issues: Detecting tumors, cysts, or organ abnormalities.
  • Cardiac Conditions: Assessing heart function and detecting defects.
  • Pregnancy Monitoring: Confirming pregnancy and monitoring fetal development.
  • Guiding Biopsies: Assisting in the precise location of tissue samples.
