Dr. John L. Collier

Dr. John L. Collier is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and the Battle Ground Academy High School in Franklin, TN. He is a member of both AVMA and TVMA. He has served as the TVMA's Veterinary Technician Liaison and at Large Middle Tennessee Delegate to Executive Board in the past. Dr. Collier is also a Medivet Accredited Practitioner, Stem logic Accredited Practitioner, and Veterinary Laser Surgical Society Member. His special interests include sports medicine for pointing breeds and retrievers, surgical soft tissue with CO2 laser, and canine reproduction.

Dr. Collier has been married to his wife Katie for 32 years. The have 2 sons, Ben and Chris. Dr. Collier and his wife live nearby with Rocky, their Brittany Spaniel; a trained labrador retriever named Sophie who is his duck season partner; Muffin, their old house cat; Detroit, their mouse and mole machine; and Scout, their mouse and mole machine in training.

During Dr. Collier’s free time he enjoys duck hunting with his sons & Sophie. He also enjoys bluegrass music, playing guitar, & the mandolin.
