Oral/Dental Care
Dental Exams is very important in maintaining your pet’s health. Typically, we perform yearly dental exams on pets less than 4 years of age and every 6 months on pets over 4 years. We do state of the art digital Oral Radiographs where we measure bone loss and can see other defects. After x-rays are performed, the technician scales and polishes every tooth as the doctor reviews the X-rays of each tooth. After the teeth are examined by the doctor, the surgical procedures are performed (extractions with surgical closures, placing an antibiotic polymer in the deeper or other needed treatments. The patient is under General Anesthesia while this procedure is done, but most patients are discharged from the hospital the same day.
